How to find, search and back up your Reddit saved posts
Last updated November 2, 2026
On reddit.com, open your profile and click the Saved tab. In the app, open your profile, tap the three-line menu, then Saved. The list only reaches your newest 1,000 or so saves, and it has no search. Reddit's data request sends a file of every post you've saved, older ones included.
Sort everything you've liked and saved, in one place.
Free includes a one-time import of 500 older likes and bookmarks. No card needed.
Where are saved posts on Reddit?
On reddit.com, go to your profile and click the Saved tab. In the iPhone or Android app, open your profile, tap the three-line menu near the top right, then Saved.
- To save a post on reddit.com, click the overflow menu on it, then Save. To see your saves, go to your profile and click Saved.
- In the app, tap the overflow menu at the top right of a post and tap Save. To see your saves, open your profile, tap the three-line menu and select Saved. (Reddit Help)
Why old saved posts disappear: the 1,000 limit
Reddit's Saved tab lists roughly your newest 1,000 saves. Older ones drop off the list but stay in Reddit's records. A data request brings them back.
Reddit doesn't publish the cap. Users have run into it for years, and it applies the same way on the web, in the app and through Reddit's API. (ContextBolt)
Reddit's guide to its data export describes saved_posts.csv as all the posts you've selected to save. That's why the export reaches further back than the tab. (Reddit Help)
Can you search Reddit saved posts?
No. The Saved tab has no search box, and Reddit's main search doesn't narrow to your saves. On a computer, scroll Saved and use Ctrl+F or Cmd+F to match post titles.
- Open your profile on reddit.com and click Saved.
- Scroll until the posts from the time you remember have loaded.
- Press Ctrl+F, or Cmd+F on a Mac, and type a word from the title or the subreddit's name.
Find only sees titles on the page, and only for the 1,000 or so saves the tab can show.
How to download every Reddit post you saved
Fill in Reddit's data request form at reddit.com/settings/data-request on a computer. It can take up to 30 days, and the download link arrives in your Reddit inbox.
- On a computer, go to reddit.com/settings/data-request.
- Log in to the account you want the data from.
- Follow the steps on the form and click Submit.
- When Reddit messages you, download the zip. Saved posts are in saved_posts.csv and saved comments in saved_comments.csv.
The file holds a link to each saved post, not the post itself. Open it in a spreadsheet, or bring it into a tool that opens each link. (Reddit Help)
Search your Reddit saves with Neatsaves
Neatsaves brings in your Reddit Saved and Upvoted lists through its Chrome extension or your data export. It files each post into a category and lets you search by keyword or meaning.
- The extension reads Reddit's own feed of your Saved and Upvoted posts in Chrome, where you're signed in. Reddit keeps the newest 1,000 there, so that's as far as a sync reaches.
- For saves past 1,000, drop Reddit's data export zip on the Import page. Neatsaves takes saved posts and upvotes and leaves the rest of the file alone.
- Reddit blocks servers from reading its pages, so when you save a post from the toolbar, the extension sends the post's visible text along with the link.
- Your Reddit saves sit beside your X bookmarks, TikTok favorites and YouTube likes, in the same categories.
Free covers 100 new saves a month plus a one-time import of 500 older likes and bookmarks. Pro is $8 a month or $72 a year, with no monthly limit up to 25,000 saves. Search by meaning and export work on both plans.
