How to search your X (Twitter) bookmarks
Last updated November 2, 2026
On x.com, open Bookmarks from the left sidebar and type in the search box at the top of the page. X finds saved posts that contain those words. It can't filter by date or account, or search by meaning. For that, you need a copy of your bookmarks in a tool that reads them.
Sort everything you've liked and saved, in one place.
Free includes a one-time import of 500 older likes and bookmarks. No card needed.
Where are your bookmarks on X?
On x.com, Bookmarks sits in the left sidebar. In the iPhone app, X renamed the Bookmarks button to History in May 2026, and your bookmarks have their own tab inside it.
- On a computer, click Bookmarks in the left sidebar on x.com, or go straight to x.com/i/bookmarks.
- On iPhone, tap your profile picture to open the side menu, then History, then the Bookmarks tab. History also holds your likes and the videos and articles you opened. (TechCrunch)
- On Android, open the side menu and tap Bookmarks. The History change started on iPhone, so Android may still use the old label.
Only you can see your bookmarks. (X Help)
How to search bookmarks on X
Open Bookmarks on x.com and type a word from the post into the search box at the top. X narrows the list to bookmarks that contain it.
- Go to x.com and open Bookmarks.
- Click the box at the top of the page that says Search bookmarks.
- Type a word you remember from the post. A name, a product or an odd word works better than a topic.
- Open the post from the shorter list.
X added this box in 2024. Guides that tested it in 2026 found it on the web and in the iPhone app, but not in the Android app. (ContextBolt, Bulkmark)
What X's bookmark search can't do
X's bookmark search only matches words in the post you saved. It has no date or account filter, and it can't find a point made in an image.
- You need the author's wording. Search for pricing and a post that only said what to charge won't come up.
- There's no date filter, so you can't jump to what you saved last spring. The list runs newest first. You scroll.
- A screenshot or a chart with little text around it gives the search almost nothing to match.
- Bookmarking the first post of a thread saves that one post. Words further down the thread aren't in your bookmark.
- A post its author deleted drops out of your bookmarks, and no search brings it back.
Folders cut the list down, but they need X Premium. X includes bookmark folders in every Premium tier. The cheapest, Basic, costs $3 a month or $32 a year in the US. (X Help)
Ways to search X bookmarks, compared
X's own search box works when you remember the exact words. To search by topic, or by what a post meant, you need your bookmarks copied into another tool.

|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free | X Premium, from $3 a month | Free for 100 new saves a month. Pro is $8 a month |

How to search X bookmarks by meaning with Neatsaves
Neatsaves copies your X bookmarks into one library with its Chrome extension, files each post into a category, and lets you search by keyword or by what you remember the post being about.
- Install the Neatsaves Chrome extension. It isn't on the Chrome Web Store yet, so Add to Chrome on neatsaves.com downloads a zip that you load once from chrome://extensions with Developer mode on. It takes about a minute.
- Sign in to x.com in the same Chrome. Open the extension's Sync tab and start X bookmarks. It opens your Bookmarks page, scrolls to the end and sends each post over.
- From then on, tapping X's own bookmark button saves the post to Neatsaves too.
- Search in Neatsaves. Type the words you remember, or describe what the post was about, even if it used other words.
Free covers 100 new saves a month plus a one-time import of 500 older likes and bookmarks. Pro is $8 a month or $72 a year, with no monthly limit up to 25,000 saves. Search by meaning and export work on both plans.
Questions
- Can you search X bookmarks by date?
- No. X's bookmark search matches words only, and the list runs newest first with no date filter. To reach an old bookmark you scroll, or you copy your bookmarks into a tool you can filter.
- Why don't I see a search bar on my X bookmarks?
- Guides that checked in 2026 found the search box on x.com and in the iPhone app, but not on Android. On iPhone, look under History, then Bookmarks. If your phone has no box, open x.com in a browser.
- Are X bookmarks private?
- Yes. X's help page says bookmarks are private and only you can see them.
- Do I need X Premium to organize bookmarks?
- For folders, yes. X lists bookmark folders in every Premium tier. The cheapest is Basic, at $3 a month or $32 a year in the US. The search box doesn't need Premium.

- Where did my bookmarks go on iPhone?
- In May 2026, X renamed the Bookmarks button in the iPhone app to History. Open History and tap the Bookmarks tab. Your likes are in the tab beside it.
