How to find and organize your TikTok favorites
Last updated November 2, 2026
In the TikTok app, tap Profile, then the Favorites tab, which TikTok also calls Saved. You can file favorites into collections of up to 1,000 posts each, but there's no search inside Favorites. To search saved videos by what someone says in them, copy them into a tool that reads each video.
Sort everything you've liked and saved, in one place.
Free includes a one-time import of 500 older likes and bookmarks. No card needed.
Where are your favorites on TikTok?
Tap Profile at the bottom, then the Favorites tab, which TikTok also calls the Saved tab. Saved sounds, hashtags, effects and products each sit in their own tab there.
- Tap Profile at the bottom of the TikTok app.
- Tap the Favorites tab. Some accounts label it Saved.
- Your saved videos show in the grid. Tap Collections to see your folders.
Likes live somewhere else. TikTok's help says liking, watching or sharing a video doesn't add it to Favorites. (TikTok Support)
How to organize favorites into collections
Collections are folders inside Favorites. Make one from your profile or while saving a video. Each collection holds up to 1,000 posts.
- Tap Profile, then the Favorites tab, then Collections.
- Tap + Create new collection.
- Name it, tap Next, then add videos you've already saved.
To file a video as you save it, tap the Favorite button on the side of the post, then View, then + Create new collection. The video goes straight into the new collection.
Deleting a collection removes the folder only; the videos stay in Favorites. Changes can take up to 15 minutes to show on your other devices. (TikTok Support)
Can you search TikTok favorites?
No. TikTok's help describes no search inside Favorites, and the search bar at the top of the app looks across all of TikTok.
If you filed the video in a collection, open the collection and scroll. Or use the main search with the most specific thing you remember from the caption. If the video turns up, save it again into a collection. (Stasht, checked July 2026)
If a favorite has vanished, TikTok says the creator may have deleted it or made it private. TikTok may have removed it, or the creator's account may be gone. Check your collections too, in case it's filed there.
How to download a list of your TikTok favorites
Go to Settings and privacy, then Account, then Download your data. Pick a format and request the file. TikTok notifies you in the app when it's ready, which can take a few days.
- Tap Profile, then the Menu ☰ at the top.
- Tap Settings and privacy, then Account.
- Tap Download your data.
- Choose what to include and a file format, then tap Request data.
- When TikTok notifies you, go back to Download your data and tap Download. The file stays there for 4 days.
Pick JSON if you plan to import the file elsewhere. It lists your favorite videos and your likes as links with dates, not the videos themselves. (TikTok Support)
Search your TikTok favorites with Neatsaves
The Neatsaves Chrome extension brings in your TikTok Favorites and Likes, reads each video's caption and spoken words, and files it into a category you can search by meaning.
- TikTok has no API for favorites, so the extension opens TikTok in your Chrome, where you're signed in, and scrolls both lists to the end.
- After that, tapping Add to Favorites or Like on tiktok.com saves the post to Neatsaves too.
- For older favorites, drop TikTok's JSON export on the Import page. It takes your Like List and Favorite Videos and leaves watch history out.
- On Free, Neatsaves reads the caption, the transcript or auto-captions and the cover. Pro also watches the video, so a recipe that's only spoken aloud still gets its steps.
| TikTok Favorites | Neatsaves | |
|---|---|---|
| Search | None inside Favorites | Keyword and meaning, spoken words included |
| Folders | Collections you fill by hand, 1,000 posts each | Categories it names from what you save |
| Likes | A separate list | In the same library, one tap to split them out |
| Cost | Free | Free for 100 new saves a month. Pro is $8 a month |
Questions
- Why can't I find a video I saved to Favorites?
- TikTok says a favorite can disappear if the creator deleted it or made it private, if TikTok removed it, or if the creator's account was deleted or disabled. It may also be sitting in one of your collections.
- How many videos can a TikTok collection hold?
- Up to 1,000 posts. When one fills up, start a new collection. TikTok doesn't limit how many collections you make.
- Are TikTok likes and favorites the same?
- No. Favorites are posts you saved on purpose. TikTok's help says likes, watch history and shares don't add anything to Favorites.
- Can I search my TikTok favorites?
- Not inside TikTok. Favorites has no search box, and the main search covers all of TikTok. A tool that reads your saved videos can search them by caption and by what's said.
- Does deleting a TikTok collection delete the videos?
- No. Deleting a collection removes the folder, and the videos stay in your Favorites.
- How long does a TikTok data download take?
- TikTok says it may take a few days. You get a notice in the app when it's ready, and the file stays available to download for 4 days.
