How to find, search and organize your Facebook saved posts
Last updated November 3, 2026
On a computer, go to facebook.com/saved, or click See more in the left menu, then Saved. In the app, open the menu and tap Saved. Saves are private unless you add them to a shared collection. Collections help you file them, but the search on Saved matches names and titles, not what the posts say.

Where are saved posts on Facebook?
On a computer, go to facebook.com/saved or click See more in the left menu of your Feed, then Saved. In the Facebook app, open the menu and tap Saved.
- On a computer, click a category in the left menu of the Saved page, or click a saved item to open it. (Facebook Help)
- In the app, tap Menu, then Saved. Tap a collection or a saved item to open it.
- Marketplace listings you save go to a separate list at facebook.com/marketplace/you/saved. (ContextBolt)
- Facebook removed Watchlist. Videos you marked Watch Later are in Saved now.
How to save a post, reel or link
Click Options in the top right of a post and choose Save post, Save link or Save video. On a reel, tap Options, then Save reel.
To save an event, open it and choose Save from its Options. A Marketplace listing has a Save button of its own and goes to your Marketplace collections. (Facebook Help)
How to organize saves into collections
Collections are folders inside Saved. From your Feed, click See more, then Saved, then Create New Collection, and give it a name.
A new collection is set to Only Me. You can make one public or share it with friends, and add contributors who can put their own saves in it. People in a collection's audience can see its items and comment on them. A collection's privacy can only be changed in the Facebook app. (Facebook Help, Facebook Help)
The Saved page also filters by type, such as Reels, Photos or Products. (Facebook Help)
Can you search Facebook saved posts?
Only by name: the search on your Saved page matches page names, collection names and titles. It doesn't look inside the text of the posts you saved.
So you're left with a filter, a collection, or scrolling. And a save is a pointer to the original post, not a copy. If the author deletes it, changes who can see it or deactivates their account, your save stops opening and there's nothing to get back. (ContextBolt)
How to download your Facebook saved items
Use Export your information in Meta Account settings. Your saves are in the section called Saved Items and Collection.
- Click your profile picture in the top right, then Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- Click Meta Account, then Your information and permissions.
- Click Export your information, then Create export, and pick your profile.
- Choose Export to device, then the information to include, a date range and a format.
- Click Start export. Facebook notifies you when it's done, and the file stays in Available downloads for 4 days.
Pick JSON if you want to load the file into another app, or HTML to click through it in a browser. The file records what you saved and where it pointed. It can't bring back posts that were already gone. (Facebook Help, Facebook Help, ContextBolt)
Search your Facebook saves with Neatsaves
The Neatsaves Chrome extension brings in your Facebook Saved list, keeps the words and picture it can see for each item, and files it into a category you can search by what the post says.
- The extension opens facebook.com/saved in your Chrome, where you're already signed in, scrolls to the end and sends each item over.
- Neatsaves can't open most Facebook posts from its own servers, so the extension sends the text and picture along. That copy stays readable after the original post is gone.
- It syncs all of Saved at once, not one collection at a time. Marketplace saves aren't part of it.
- Once Saved has synced to the end, the extension catches up new saves once a day, when Chrome is open and you've stepped away from the computer.
- Your Facebook saves sit next to your X bookmarks, TikTok favorites, Instagram saves and YouTube likes, in the same categories.
Free holds 25 saves. Pro is $8 a month or $72 a year and holds up to 25,000. Search by meaning and export work on both plans.
Questions
- Who can see my saved posts on Facebook?
- Only you, unless you put a save in a collection that's set to Public, Friends or Contributors only.
- Where did my Facebook Watchlist go?
- Facebook removed it. Videos you saved, including ones you marked Watch Later, are in Saved now.
- Why can't I find a Marketplace listing I saved?
- Marketplace keeps its own saved list at facebook.com/marketplace/you/saved, apart from the main Saved page.
- Why won't a saved post open?
- A save points to the original post. If the author deleted it, changed its audience or deactivated their account, the save stops opening, and Facebook has no copy to show you.
- How do I unsave something on Facebook?
- Go to Saved, click the options button next to the item and choose Unsave. The original post isn't touched.
