How to find, search and export your X (Twitter) likes
Last updated November 3, 2026
Since June 2024, only you can see your list of likes on X. On iPhone, open the side menu, tap History, then the Likes tab. Accounts that haven't switched still have Likes as a tab on the profile. To download every like, request your X archive and open the file called like.js.
Sort everything you've liked and saved, in one place.

Where are my likes on X?
In May 2026, X moved likes off your profile and into the Likes tab of History, starting with the iPhone app. Accounts that haven't switched yet still show a Likes tab on the profile.
- On iPhone, tap your profile picture to open the side menu, then History, then Likes. History also holds your bookmarks and the videos and articles you opened. (TechCrunch)
- X rolled History out in stages. On x.com or Android, look for History in the sidebar first. If it isn't there, open your profile and look for the Likes tab.
The Likes tab started leaving profiles in early May, about a week before History arrived. During that gap, many people thought their likes were gone. (ContextBolt)
Who can see your likes?
Nobody can browse your likes, since X made them private in June 2024. The author of a post still sees that you liked it, and like counts stay public.
If you want to keep a post without the author hearing about it, bookmark it instead. X says bookmarks are private and only you can see them. (TIME, X Help)
Can you search your X likes?
X's help page on likes describes no way to search them. On x.com, scroll your likes so they load, then use your browser's Find, Ctrl+F or Cmd+F on a Mac, to match words in the posts.
Find only sees what's on the page. If you remember a post's point but not its wording, or it was mostly a picture, Find won't turn it up. (X Help)
How to download all your X likes
Request your X archive from Settings and privacy, then Account, then Your X data. When the zip arrives, your likes are in a file called like.js.
- Open your profile menu and tap Settings and privacy.
- Tap Account, then under Data and permissions, Your X data.
- Confirm it's you with the code X sends to your email or phone.
- Under Download your data, tap Request data next to X.
- When X lets you know it's ready, come back to the same page and tap Download archive.
In the zip, like.js lists each post you liked. The archive has no bookmarks file, so it covers likes only. (X Help, X Developers forum)
Search your X likes by meaning, with Neatsaves
Neatsaves copies your X likes into one library through its Chrome extension or your archive, files each post into a category, and lets you search them by keyword or by what the post was about.
- Install the Neatsaves Chrome extension. It isn't on the Chrome Web Store yet, so Add to Chrome on neatsaves.com downloads a zip that you load once from chrome://extensions with Developer mode on. It takes about a minute.
- Sign in to x.com in the same Chrome. In the extension's Sync tab, start X likes. It opens your likes, scrolls to the end and sends each post over.
- From then on, tapping Like on x.com saves the post to Neatsaves too. Turn that off with Save posts I like in the extension's settings.
- Or drop your X archive zip on the Import page. Neatsaves reads like.js from it.
Likes and bookmarks share one library, and one tap splits them. On Pro, Connect X also brings in new likes and bookmarks by itself about once a week, including the ones you made on your phone. Export to Markdown, CSV or JSON is free on both plans.
Free holds 25 saves. Pro is $8 a month or $72 a year and holds up to 25,000. Search by meaning and export work on both plans.
Questions
- Why did my likes disappear on X?
- They moved. In May 2026, X took the Likes tab off profiles and put likes under History, starting with the iPhone app. Look in History, then Likes.
- Can people see what I like on X?
- Not as a list. Since June 2024 nobody can browse your likes. The author of a post still sees that you liked it, and every post shows a public like count.
- Can I unlike everything at once?
- No. X has no remove-all for likes, so you unlike posts one at a time.
- Does the X archive include my likes?
- Yes, in like.js. It doesn't include your bookmarks.
- Should I like or bookmark a post I want to keep?
- Bookmark it if you only want it for later. A bookmark is private and the author isn't told. A like tells the author it was you.
